Bud's Resume

Bud is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism.  He has been in the practice of real estate in South Carolina since 1972.  In 1976, Bud graduated from Northwestern University School of Mortgage Banking.

His career started with Southern Mortgage Corporation in the multifamily loan origination department.  For 15 years he worked as a loan originator in the Eastern United States providing construction and permanent financing for FHA insured and conventionally financed apartment projects.

In 1984, Bud joined several colleagues in forming Tandem Development, a subsidiary of U.S. Shelter.  During his time with Tandem, Bud was involved in the development of multifamily housing in South Carolina and Georgia.
 
Bud started Williams Realty Services in 1996 to manage apartment projects in South Carolina and Georgia.  With an office in Aiken, WRS managed over 1000 conventional, FHA and FhMA units in two states.

While closing WRS and living at Edisto Beach, Bud went back to school to get his Real Estate Appraiser’s license.  He now holds a Certified Residential Appraiser’s license and practices in Aiken.

In addition to his appraisal work, Bud holds a South Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license and a Real Estate Instructors license.  He teaches pre-licensing courses and continuing education classes and writes real estate and business related articles for various trade publications.

Bud and his wife Georgia live in Aiken where they’ve raised five children.

The Aiken office of The Carolina Appraisal Group covers the counties of Aiken, Barnwell, Edgefield and others by arrangement with the client.
