Blair's Resume

Blair Goering was born in Pratt, Kansas and raised in Moundridge, Kansas. Blair gradduated from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications with a major in Public Relations.

After graduation Blair began working for Janus Mutual Funds in their Kansas City office. In 1995 Blair transferred to Janus headquarter in Denver, Colorado where he spent the next four years working direclty with clients on mutual funds and annuity products. In 1999 Blair changed his career path and was promoted to Project Manager where he was responsible for working on website and automated phone system enhancement implementations.

Upon leaving Janus in 2001 Blair began working as a Home Mortgage Consultant (loan officer) with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Blair had great success taking advantage of strong refinance market while creating marketing plans for Wells Fargo's new "A paper" mortgage products. During his time at Wells he has a capture rate as high as 95 percent. It is in this position that Blair gained a great deal of understanding and respect for the mortgage, appraisal, and real estate business and the challenges associated with it.

In 2004 Blair reentered the financial services industry working for Charles Schwab & Co in their operations department managing the transfers of client's funds from various outside brokerage houses.

Blair and his wife Kelly moved to Greenville, SC in February of 2007 to be closer to family following the birth of their wonderful son Ashton.

Upon the completion of necessary appraising courses in mid-2007 he was given the opportunity to join The Carolina Appraisal Group. He is currently working as an Apprentice Appraiser. Blair covers the counties of Oconee, Pickens, Greenville, and Anderson. Blair understands that accurancy, communication, and timeliness are of the upmost importance for our clients and he builds and maintains his relationship with his clients by excelling at these.

Outside of the office Blair enjoys spending time with Kelly and Ashton at their home in Simpsonville, while enjoying the outdoors through camping, hiking, mountain biking, and road cycling.
